2. Main Task
Choose and download one of the official policy documents from the three listed under Policy documents for critical analysis and annotation This 1200 word assessment item is designed to generate critical engagement with issues in public policy covered so far – agenda setting, networks, coordination and approaches to policy analysis.

3. Specific Questions To be successful in this activity you will need to:
Choose and carefully read one of the documents below
Directly address the following questions:
To what extent are the policies expressed in your chosen document a product of 'rationality' or 'politics'?
What agenda setting influences have shaped the policy?
What sorts of techniques of policy analysis (if any) appear to have been employed by the policy makers in order to determine the policy option which has been adopted? Are they qualitative or quantitative?

4. Specific Questions
Based on your analysis and wider research, to what extent does the policy document you have chosen to analyse indicate the influence of policy networks or otherwise? You should remember here to provide a definition of policy networks and explain how you have assessed the impact of policy networks, or lack thereof, in your chosen document.
