Problem Recognition: Recognizing a need. Urgency of need is a determining factor. Ex: moving out, need a car Information Search: Gathering information for alternative solutions. Amount of research depends on past purchases. Ex: Model of car, condition, price Evaluate Alternatives: determine the best option by weighing pros and cons Ex: most affordable Purchase: To satisfy the need Post Purchase Evaluation: Is the need still important/ was it fulfilled? Ex: regrets? Like a different car better after purchase?

Enduring pattern of emotions and behaviors that define an individual. Ex: Outgoing person would purchase bright colored clothing Personality Dress, grooming, social relationships, family roles, and career choices are influenced by family and culture. Ex: Females buy makeup, Males buy sports equipment Gender Based upon ancestry, origin, language, and traditions.
