3 Tiger team objectives Centre of Excellence in digital preservation will provide training for the digital preservation community A tiger team has been set up to look at: Training outputs from the project Content review in terms of the integrated vision Other materials linked to training courses e.g. webinars, deliverables Training needs within the community Feedback from events already held Market research findings Integrate WP42 and WP43 outputs Online training portal will host the CoE’s training provision Future training events to be assessed in line with demand

APARSEN has created an integrated view of digital preservation Training content consists of mini courses covering the areas listed

5 Deliverables WP42 & WP43 WP42 will produce a deliverable, no deliverables are due for WP43 this period WP43 outputs related to training will therefore be integrated into the WP42 deliverable. This is as agreed with reviewers

8 Qualification and training resources (WP42/43)
Identify and gather admissible resources: ongoing Collaboration with WP43 “Training Courses” Definition of procedures as well as technical and organisational requirements for learning and training material bound to be imported into the APARSEN Online Training Portal (OTP) Internal report Cooperation with WP41/WP42/WP43/WP45 for the capturing of presentations organized by APARSEN Post-production, import and indexing of selected APARSEN webcasts

9 APA CoE – Online Training Portal (OTP)
Course material will be available online in the form of training courses via the APA’s website (hosted within the OTP). Introductory presentations are free of charge and are available on the APA website. Pages will be live in last quarter of 2014.

There are a number training options which the Centre of Excellence (CoE) could provide in the form of:  Face to face courses Workshops Clinics Summer school Training can be customized to meet participants learning objectives. The CoE’s members provide expertise in many areas of digital preservation.

Phased approach: Set out course outlines (mini-courses on OTP) using course structure as set out on APARSEN website Produce content in the form of PowerPoints with audio (training modules) Upload content to OTP Link to content within a standard structure in OTP Add links to other material relevant to the course e.g. webinars and deliverables Add in pre-course and post-course assessments Review and test system
