2 My Stocks I chose to invest my $5,000 in Google Inc, Exxon Mobile Corp, and General Electric Co. due to the fact that I believed that these three companies would help me gain a nice amount of money over a certain period of time.

3 How Much I Invested I bought all of my stocks on March 14, 2007.
I invested about three-quarters of my money into Google, Inc (GOOG) and spent $3512 on 8 stocks worth $439 each. I then invested about three-quarters of the money left into Exxon-Mobile Corp (XOM) on March 14 and spent $ on 16 stocks worth $69.64 each. Finally, I invested the rest of my money into General Electric Co (GE) on March 14 and spent $ on 11 stocks worth $33.90 each. I spent a total of $ and was left with $.86, which I divided up and gave to my siblings.

4 My Profits I sold all of my stocks on January 10, 2008.
Google had the most profit, due to the fact that it rose over $200 to $ and gave me a total amount of $ My profit on Google was a whopping $ ! Exxon Mobile did pretty good, too, with a rise of about $20 to $90.99.

5 My Profits The total amount of money Exxon Mobile gave me was $ , making my profit $341.60 Finally, General Electric did OK with a rise of only $2 to $35.89 The total amount of money General Electric gave me was $394.79, making my profit $21.89 My overall profits totaled $ , giving me a total worth of $ (remember that I gave my siblings a total of $.86)

10 Overall Overall, Google did the best and General Electric did the worst. As you can see by how much I made, you can do very well in the stock market. However, you can also lose a lot of money. Basically, you need to buy low and sell high and invest in stocks that would be most likely to gain money over a period of time.
