Simple ways to add BOLTSS
Border// rule a line around the map to define its boundary. Orientation// use a compass to establish north on the map … there is a free phone app of a compass.!! Legend // use consistent colours or simple symbols. Water features= blue Human features =black or red Vegetation = green

Scale// For a reasonably accurate scale, without using technology, students can learn how many steps they take to cover a distance of10 metres.
