2. Appearance of the Aurora
Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) is a phenomenon that appears near the earth's magnetic poles and is projected in the form of nebulous tufts of light in various colors.

3. Views from our region
In periods of stronger solar activity, bigger intensity of aurora borealis can be expected. In such cases, this phenomenon can be seen at lower latitudes. So it is possible to see it from our region. We should not expect to see it from the cities, but on the hills, where the atmosphere is clean and where little light pollution, sometimes can be seen. Such cases have already been in the past, so those who can, should try to photograph, or just enjoy the beautiful view in the night sky.

5. Name
In the north is called aurora borealis and aurora australis in the south. Scientists call them both polar aurora.
Name the northern zone is derived from the impression one gets when auroras occur, especially on Europe's northern horizon indicates reddish light as, in the east at dawn, before sunrise.
