Taking VISUAL NOTES From here on we will be looking at a great number of mask forms. What you will be required to do is sketch at least 1 favorite mask from each page. You will have 3 minutes a slide (a little more if many people need it) TOTAL POINTS POSIBILE: 8 Points*** RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Draw in shapes 2. Get as many details as possible 3. If you have time, jot down why you like it ***EACH DRAWING IS WORTH UP-TO ONE POINT! To earn this point the drawing must be thoughtful.

STEPS & ORDER: COMPLETE and HAND IN accordion book landscape, frame (if applicable), and SELF-ASSESSMENT Complete line design and fill out self-assessment Work with a classmate or two to finish your mask presentation worksheets and brief paragraph write-up. Complete AT LEAST 4 different thumbnail ideas, and a detailed mockup of what you want your mask to look like Trace, cut out, and assemble your mask foundation Start making and attaching a minimum of 5 DIFFERENT 3D additions Test tissue paper overlaps on scrap paper Use a crumby glue brush and watered-down glue to add tissue paper colored skin over your mask Fill out self assessment

STEPS: Participate in historical, cultural presentation and complete notes on packet Draw 4 possible thumbnail ideas Draw one detailed mockup of exactly what you want you mask to look like (including color) Trace, cut, fold, and glue mask foundation Create a minimum of 5 3D additions Neatly and thoughtfully glue on strips of torn tissue paper Mask Packet / Planning: 30 pts Physical mask: 25 pts Assessed on how successfully it looks like what you intended to represent Assessed on the inclusion of 5 different 3D forms Assessed on neatness and structural stability Decoration of mask: 10 pts Assessed on neatness and thoroughness Effort Grade: 5 pts
