ISAM Recent Enhancements Federal Accountability Interventions release on January 23, 2014 Priority and Focus Identification Auto assign of DCSI Support Specialist reassignments Federal Accountability Interventions (SCR #360) Campuses identified as either “Priority” or “Focus” for the school year based on rules outlined in the waiver are now loaded in ISAM.  These campuses can begin assigning review contacts, downloading resources, and uploading submission documents per requirements outlined in the TAIS Guidance document.  Note that interventions for state and federal accountability are integrated, thus campuses with required activities in both systems have a single review in ISAM. Autoassign DCSIs for Federal Accountability (SCR #367) Campuses staged for federal accountability who had successfully completed “step 1” of assigning a DCSI had those persons automatically added to the review contacts in ISAM.  Campuses who had not completed the steps provided by TCDSS previously can now assign their DCSIs manually. Support Specialist Reassignments (SCR #364) PMI management analyzed division-wide case loads and made a number of changes to support specialist assignments across all program areas for this year.  Those reassignments are now reflected in ISAM.  Copyright © Texas Education Agency All rights reserved.

ISAM Recent Enhancements Noncompliance Module New Noncompliance Topic: Private School Placement by Public Agencies (SCR #365) Private School Placement by Public Agencies (§ (c)).  This new topic is now available for adding to findings of noncompliance in ISAM. ISAM now has the capability for TEA and TCDSS specialists now have the ability to approve individual submissions in ISAM.  This functionality was added primarily to track approval of Improvement Plan submissions, but is available for use on all submissions so can be used for Progress Reports, Corrective Action Plans, etc. Since this is a new feature in ISAM, our specialist will be trained in the upcoming weeks on the approval piece. Provide ability to distinguish between DCSIs for State Acct, Federal Acct, and PBM On the Review Summary page, users can now identify which DCSI is assigned for each program area by using the contact info pop-ups in the “Review Contacts” panel at the lower right-hand side of the page.  Previously this pop-up only displayed the contact’s address and phone number, but now program assignments have been added for Monitoree Contacts.  Thus, in cases where multiple DCSIs are assigned to a single review, users can quickly see which DCSI is responsible for State Acct, Federal Acct, and/or PBM where applicable.  Note that this information is pulled from the DCSI’s contact info in ISAM, so if any information needs correcting, it should be done via the “Contacts” page for the district or campus. TCDSS - TTIPS TTIPS Information about Priority Status The primary focus for the remainder of the school year should remain on the following items: implementing the strategies and interventions included in your grant application; submitting quarterly implementation reports (QIRs); meeting your Annual Performance Goals (APGs); analyzing data and conducting a needs assessment in preparation for completing a plan aligned to ESEA Turnaround Principles and CSFs for school year. By completing these actions you will be fulfilling the primary intervention requirements for the school year as outlined in the December 12th letter from TEA.
