Conclusions Wide variation in achievement between Practices & we should be aiming to reduce this. Within some Practices, performance in these two areas are very different – being good at one does not guarantee success in the other. Treatment Target Achievement particularly important (linked to outcomes) & we are underperforming against national average. We are slightly better on Care Process Completion than nationally but we need to now concentrate more on Treatment Targets. 5) Type 1 results much worse than Type 2 locally & nationally.

The Future NDA participation becoming compulsory from July 2017 in GP Contract Collection period for will be 13/5/17 – 11/7/17 Twice yearly data collection – when? Diabetes care remains a NHS priority Improving Treatment Target Achievement is one of the 4 national diabetes treatment goals (Structured Patient Education participation is another) – BWCCG T2 targets 40% next year rising to 45% by 2020
