KSCE is an academic meeting place
Introduction 15/04/2017 Academic writing is not just a writing about an issue, however, it is a systematic process. It has a start and end point. It starts from a problem to be solved. It is a searching again for something. 4/17/2017 Find even more in

From a simple definition of the research by the Concise Oxford Dictionary, it is a “Careful search or inquiry; endeavor to discover new or collate old facts and etc. by the scientific study of a subject; the course of critical investigation” (Naoum, 2007). 4/17/2017

Or what Debashish Banerji defined and said that research is “A systematic scientific process to find the answers to your questions”, thus it tries philosophically to explain the issues. It naturally takes the two philosophically aspects to fill the knowledge gap and problem-solving (Badewi, 2013), which each pole is taking its certain route till the end report. 4/17/2017

The result is for whom The end report is a tool for communicating between the author and the reader and this message has some characteristics. A signal is transmitting by the author and it will be received by the reader. This signal is a set of words to audience. 4/17/2017

How this signal reaches to the reader and how can this signal be read by the reader
This signal must have these characteristics to be read by the reader (Day, 1998): Clarity: Clarity is an essential issue for new things to be provided, scientific papers are considered as a new knowledge (Day, 1998, p. 9). Simple: It is “The quality or condition of being easy to understand or do” Short: The best English is that which gives the sense in the fewest short words” 4/17/2017

How to structure this message to be readable
In spite of the difference between qualitative and quantitative research in structuring, but in general, both are following the Principles of IMRAD (Day, 1998, p. 12). IMRAD is: Introduction: What question (problem) was studied? Methods: How was question (problem) studied? Results: What were the findings? Discussion: What do these findings mean? 4/17/2017

How to select a title Title is the face of the study. From the title, the reader can understand that this study is talking about what. In addition, the main concept(s) it will be shown in the title. For that, the title is considered as the most critical part, which should be carefully taken. Some researchers have called the title as a label of the study because the indexing and abstracting service are depending heavily on the accuracy of the title (Day, 1998, p. 23). 4/17/2017

What questions must be answered in the Introduction
The reader will gain the first impression in the introduction, thus it is vital. The reader will gain the first impression in the introduction, thus it is vital. It tells the reader (Skills, 2012): How you understand the topic (e.g. context, background, key terms) What your controlling argument is What issues you will cover (and in which order) Highlight ideas as major or minor (for longer essays) What conclusion you will reach 4/17/2017
