Thursday, April 13: Grad guest forms available and are available in the main office.
Thursday, May 4: Grad guest forms due date.
May 23 – June 9: Ticket sales period for dinner/dance
Friday, May 5: Valedictorian Nomination forms available
Friday, May 12: Valedictorian Nomination forms due
Monday, June 5: Commencement guest tickets available
(3 free guest tickets per grad / $5 for each additional ticket)

Tuesday, June 13: Commencement assembly at the end of the school day; Cap and Gowns distributed.
Sunday, June 18: Commencement Ceremony, 11AM, Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Arrive at 10:00am
Friday, June 23: Dinner/Dance, 6PM, Convention Centre, 11PM Dismissal Restriction
Saturday, June 24: After Grad, MIDNIGHT, Gleneagle

5. Valedictorian Selection
Nomination forms available Friday, May 5.
Completed nomination forms are due Friday, May 12, 3:30pm
Completed nomination form includes 10 student signatures, nominee signature, and 2 teacher signatures including one English teacher signature. See page 22 in the School Agenda.
Semi-final process: Wednesday, May 24 speeches given by candidates to grade 12 class.
Audience members given a rubric specific to the valedictorian speeches to evaluate candidates.
Finalists identified from speech process
Final voting on Friday, May 26 at lunch in Foyer (grade 12 students only)

6. Commencement Ceremony Information Survey
Survey to be completed and returned today at the end of the assembly.
Please be aware, no survey submitted – no cap and gown ordered.
Gown size is important!
Identify the official name you want to be included on the commencement program.

7. Commencement Message
Similar to commencement survey, to be completed and returned today at the end of the assembly

8. Dinner / Dance (Tickets: $135)
Fully sponsored school function. School and district rules and expectations apply.
Guest forms required for any guest not currently a member of the Gleneagle 2017 Grad class.

Ticket sales: Tuesday, May 23, 3:15PM – Friday, June 9, 11:55PM

9. Dinner / Dance
On-line purchasing system for tickets. Table selection done through on-line system; students get to choose their seating plan on a first come first serve basis.
Tickets are $ for dinner.
Transportation by bus $5.00 to and from Dinner/Dance.
No table switching at the event.
Friday, June 23, Vancouver Convention Centre, 6:00pm – midnight
Dismissal restriction of 11pm

10. After Grad Entry to After Grad will be closed at 1am
Ticket sales will be closed on Friday, June 9 at 3:30pm.
No tickets will be sold at the door
Approved guests only
Yearbooks will be distributed
Ends at 5am
Once you leave, you cannot return.
