2 Definition A Clause is any group of words with a subject and verb
An adjective is a word that describes a noun Therefore, an adj. clause is a group of words with a subject and verb that describes a noun

3 Definition continued They will most often start with one of these words: WHO, WHICH, THAT, WHOSE, WHOM An adjective clause is EXTRA in a sentence. There must still be a main sentence left even if you take out the adjective clause

An adjective clause will always go right after the noun that it describes -Sometimes we put commas around it

here, the word THAT is unspoken. It should go at the beginning of the clause. Sometimes we can leave out the word THAT
