How we see surfaces
Even the smoothest of surfaces have small bumps and cracks in them. This is why regardless of the angle that light is hitting an object we can still see the surface. Light bounces off of the object in all different directions. We say that the light has been Scattered.

9. Group discussion
You place a burning candle in a completely sealed box filled with mirrors. Every part of the inside of the box is covered with a reflective surface. After 10 seconds the candle goes out because it uses all of the oxygen in the box. After the candle goes out is their still light in the box?
