SAME SIGN
Add the two numbers and bring the sign along

4. Rules for adding integers
DIFFERENT SIGNS
Subtract the smaller number from the bigger number….then use the sign of the bigger number.

5. Find the sum
-12 + (-6) (-2)
1 + (-3) (-10)

6. Write a numerical expression and then find the sum
You borrow $20, and then pay back $18
You deposit $120, and then write a check for $25
