1 EUNOIA RADIO Tyler Rossiter 3/5/17 Radio Show and Short Film

2 Synopsis ‘Eunoia’ is a radio show produced by Bella Stanyer and I. It is streamed on Pie Radio which is a youth led radio station accessible online or by the app. The show is a casual up to date show which plays the latest music and also a few throwback songs. There is no specific genre to what we play so there is something for everyone. Throughout the show we also give updates on the latest celeb gossip and have casual conversations in which the audience can relate. As we have special guests ‘HOOZY’ coming into the show I will be doing short promo to advertise their clothing line to go with this show.

3 Target Audience My Target audience would be for anyone between the ages of 16 and 23. This is because we are streamed on a youth led radio station so of course teens and young adults will be our top listeners and priority. As we are within the same age group as our potential listeners this makes it easier for the audience to relate to us and vice versa. Although my target market is quite specific, there may be a few people just out of the boundary willing to listen as some of our content may also appeal to an older age group too.

5 Why have I selected this idea?
I have chosen this topic because as I am already gaining work experience from doing the show for the past few weeks, I thought it would be good to showcase what I’ve learnt so far. As I knew we were having special guests on the show for this particular week I thought it would be a interesting to use for my final unit as it will be interesting and entertaining for the audience. As I wish to include a short film alongside of this based on the ’HOOZY’ clothing line I think that will take this project a little further as there’s so much more for the audience to engage in and more for me to show off what I can do and what I have learnt from previous projects.

6 Key Influences My key influences for this idea came when I was younger. I’ve always known I wanted to be a radio presenter and I’ve worked so hard to get to this point and will continue to work hard to further myself in this industry. Radio plays such a big part in everyday life. It is played daily in the car, in your home, shops, cafes etc. It’s there even when you don’t notice and not many people think much into it. This is why I thought it would be good to do because then the audience can see what actually goes on behind the mic and see how everything in the studio works which will be interesting for the viewers and hopeful future radio presenters.

7 Locations The location for the radio show will be shot within the Pie Radio studio at Hallam Mill in Stockport. For my short film I will be filming in local aesthetic areas of models with ’HOOZY’ clothing on to advertise the brand. I believe that if I film locally it will show that the brand has come from just a regular background and that if you want something bad enough you can make it happen. This then gives the audience something to think about that will maybe inspire them.

8 Cast and Crew For my Radio Show, my cast will consist of: Hosts: - Tyler Rossiter & Isabella Stanyer Studio Manager: - Soloman Special guests: - Joe Nowland, Jayden Graham, Jay Matthews, Leo Burke, Ali Shanbour For my ‘HOOZY’ promo the cast will most likely be volunteers chosen by Joe and Jayden.

9 Challenges in Video and Audio
Challenges I will face within this project concerning video and audio will be linking my video and audio together. I believe this may be tricky to do to get it completely perfect but with the right patience and skill it is do-able. Since my last project I have been able to excel on my filming and audio as I have taken my filming from the last project and assessed what I personally liked and didn't’t like about it so I could improve for this project. I have also taken it upon myself to get work experience on the radio show where I have then learnt more about the audio side of things and all the equipment there so hopefully I can use all this knowledge to overcome any problems I may face within production. Challenges in Video and Audio

10 Legal And Ethical To keep my project legal and ethical when filming my promo I will need to have permission to film on certain locations as some may have certain times which are restricted for filming because of certain circumstances. Also, if they’re was any branding in the background of my shots, I would need their permission as for the welfare of their company they may not want to be recognized within my project. On the radio show I will not be able to copyright music therefore I will have to play music with consent. Within both my show and promo I will need to ensure there are no stereotypes and bias views as this may offend some of my audiences. I will also need to consider the representation of men and women throughout the course of my project.

11 Music Copyright Our radio show is very music based. Although there is conversation throughout our show we always even it out with music to keep the audience entertained. With it being just a youth led station we have to be careful about what music is played so we tend to use the songs that the station already have consent for to avoid any copyright issues.

12 Resources For my radio show, I will need: Camera Tripod Microphones
Processors Broadcasting Decks Broadcasting software For my promo, I will need: Models

13 What will make it a success?
My project will be a success if I can make my radio show and promo appealing to a wide audience. My radio show needs to attract my target audience and to do this I need to have music that will captivate my audience and make them want to keep listening and for this to work we will need to talk about topics that they can engage in and maybe even relate to or gain information from. To make it successful we need to priorities the wants and needs of the target audience because this is what will get me the response I want. For the promo, I will need to make it edgy and appealing. This will make it a success as if it is both of these things, it will entice the audience which may make them purchase from the brand or even share with their friends to promote the brand some more. The angles and style of how I do this is what will make it work best so I have to really think about the best way to format it.

14 Process of making it The process of making my whole project is to ensure that I have mind mapped all of my ideas so that I am prepared for my radio show and for my filming. I need to know what I am going to talk about and what songs I am going to play before I go on the radio as this helps the flow go easier and also makes it come across more professional. I also need to complete a storyboard for my promo to get an idea of what shots I want to include within my promo and get an idea of how these will look together. I need to make sure the models for the promo know what kind of shots I am looking for before they come so that they are prepared to make the filming of the shots quicker and better because if they were to just turn up it might take a lot of time for them to et into the mindset of the style I need them to be in. All of this will ensure that my project is hassle free, easier to do and done effectively.
