Who we are & what we do CLA is owned by publishers and authors, also represents visual creators We operate collective licensing schemes on behalf of copyright owners CLA licenses any organisation needing permission to copy and re-use content from copyright publications, print or digital CLA is not-for-profit and all licence revenue is distributed to copyright owners

Licensing the Legal Sector
Law firms among the first organisations to be licensed by CLA in the 1990s CLA Law Licence - Drafted in consultation with sector professional bodies - Rights and permissions consistently extended, now with multinational coverage - Includes permissions not available to other sectors e.g. external supply to clients Complements direct subscriptions, database platforms etc to deliver comprehensive copyright coverage CLA working with other suppliers in the sector to enhance services - DRM free delivery from British Library, IALS and other providers
