2 Unlike numbers 21–29, numbers 31-99 must be written as three separate words.

3 REMEMBER: With numbers that end in uno (31, 41, etc.), uno becomes un before a masculine noun and una before a feminine noun.

4 Numbers 100 and higher * In Spanish, numbers are written with periods (puntos) instead of commas (comas). (2.554, , )

5 100 alone is written as “cien”
cien=100, mil cien=1.100 You should use “ciento,” NOT “cien” for numbers over 100 ciento uno=101, ciento doce=112, ciento cincuenta=150, mil ciento uno=1.101

6 The numbers 200 through 999 agree in GENDER with the nouns they modify
The numbers 200 through 999 agree in GENDER with the nouns they modify. They all end with an “s” already to show they are plural in number.

7 Mil & Cien in their plural forms…
Miles=Thousands Cientos=Hundreds Hay cientos de libros en la librería. There are hundreds of books in the book store.
