What is it? Global, virtual community for information & data professionals in the Oil & Gas Industry. Currently 140 members Next meeting is May 28th The O&G SIG is a global, virtual community for information and data professionals in the Oil & Gas industry. They currently have around 140 members. Meetings take place on a monthly basis. The next meeting for the SIG is on May 28th. If you are interested in joining, visit their AIIM Community site and contact them. Dennie will help get you set up. We are working on doing a joint virtual event with them.

Content Management 2020 Hypothesis/Trend North American Ranking
The proportion of effort the enterprise has to spend on ensuring privacy and security will increase. 1 There will be more country-specific regulations and restrictions related to the cloud and privacy than there are now (i.e., governments will become more national and less global in their approach to the cloud). 2 90% of the world will have broadband access equivalent to today’s best Wi-Fi. 3 The central role of content management solutions will be to: 1) Determine the human user’s current situation; 2) Understand precisely what the person wants; and 3) Use powerful analytical ability to make highly focused and insightful suggestions. 4 The core skills of world-class IT departments will shift from people focused on operations, to people with skills at the intersection between business analyst and IT designer. 5
