To help you answer the question, break down John Green’s argument What are the four Euro-centric reasons for arguing that the industrial revolution happened in Britain? Why are these arguments not very convincing? Why could the Industrial Revolution have happened in China? What role did coal and high wages have with the Industrial Revolution beginning in England? Why did India not need to industrialise? How did cheap Indian cotton encourage British industrialisation?
