6 We have an amazing membership of over 250 registered young farmers (and that number is growing) with small and large operations alike, from commodity categories including: beef cattle, berries, dairy, field vegetables, flowers, fox, grain, greenhouse, hay, mink, nursery, pork, poultry, pigeon, eggs, duck, geese, sheep, lamb, goats, horse, vineyard, tree fruits, bees, and organic & specialty producers.

Events - Workshops - Farm Tours - Political Gatherings expand knowledge exchange ideas positively influence farming in BC #bcyoungfarmers BC Young Farmers Through our events & workshops, our members have an opportunity to expand their knowledge and exchange ideas that can positively influence farming in BC by engaging the next generation of farmer.

Learn how AG policies are developed - learn about the people making those policies -Meet your local MLA, Micheal Dejong for west Abby, Darrly Plecas for South Abby etc… Minister of AG Norm Letnick -Learn how you can be involved with those policies Young Farmers are key to the Industry moving forward and being ready to take on whatever the future fod needs are Be current with the trends in AG, are you a leader or a follower? What was important in AG 20 years is not today and nor will it be in the future. Don’t get stuck with the sunset farmers at Timmies who still bring up ‘old ‘ problems! Look to the future. AG is strong. People will always need to eat and people will always want secure food. Listen to the consumer, talk to the politicians in charge making decision that directly affect you and your famr.
