Movement “Jump Around”
2
Movement In order for a photographer to shoot a fast moving object does the shutter need to high or low? Will a shutter speed of 1/4000 make a fast moving object blur or stop? Is shutter speed and exposure time the same thing? What are objects you could photograph to show movement?
3
When a photographer is taking a photo like this where an object is moving at a high velocity, you want to make the shutter speed really high (Ex 1/4000) so that you can freeze the object. Is the depth of field deep or shallow? Where would the aperture be?

This image has an implied movement
This image has an implied movement. The subject is frozen in time with the high shutter speed. It is also called a what? Where is the light source?
12
Would this image be as successful without the blur effect?

I really enjoy everything that is going on in this image
I really enjoy everything that is going on in this image... but one very small detail. Can you tell me what I would have done to make this composition complete?

Your assignment For this assignment I require a minimum of 8 images
You must show movement in a way where your objects “freeze” in time or where there is a slight blur. You saw a variety of photographs depicting this principle now let me hear some ideas!!

Today’s Lesson We are going to be practicing what happens when you increase and decrease your cameras shutter speed. We will all be taking turns photographing each other in mid jump! That way we will have a better understanding of where the shutter speed needs to be in order to get the desired effect.
