Location of new housing will be where it enhances or maintains the vitality of rural communities (TTV2) Development will respect the character of the countryside (TTV2) Development adjoining or very near to an existing settlement will be supported where it meets the essential, small scale local development needs of the community and provides a sustainable solution (TTV31) Avoid the best and most versatile agricultural land (TTV31) Development (should) support good residential amenity, accessibility and…their wider health impacts (DEV1) Housing developments should be designed to be integrated with the adjacent developments and not appear to be an unrelated addition to the rest of the town… with good pedestrian, cycling and public transport connectivity to existing developed areas…and local services (DEV10)
