2 CLAUDE MONET’S FAMILY EARLY LIFE
Claude Monet was born on November, in Paris. He was the second son of Claude-Adolphe and Louise-Justin Aubree Monet ,both second-generation Parisians. In 1845, his family moved to Le Havre in Normandy.

3 CLAUDE MONET’S FIRST FAMILY
Claude Monet’s first wife was named Camille Doncieux. Camille was a model for figures in The Woman in the Garden and On the Bank of the Seine. Camille and Claude Monet had their first child jean in 1867.Camille and Claude Monet got married just before the war on June, Camille became ill in 1876, then they had their second son , Michel on March, Camille became weaken after she had Michel. Camille died on September, of tuberculosis.

4 CLAUDE MONET’S SECOND FAMILY
Claude Monet and his two sons shared a house in Vetheuil with Alice Hoschede and her six children. Alice helped Claude Monet raise his two sons ,by taking them to Paris to live alongside her own six children. In 1881 all of them moved to Poissy. After Alice’s husband died, Alice marries Claude Monet in 1892.

5 CLAUDE MONET’S LIFE ENDS
Claude Monet and his family rented a house and two acres from a local landowner. Around the house it had a barn that was used as a painting studio and they had a small garden. They even had a school close enough for their children to attend school. Claude Monet fortunes started to change when Paul Durand- Ruel started to have success in selling his painting. By November 1890 Monet was wealthy enough to buy the house, the surrounding buildings, and a second studio .

6 THE END OF MONET’S LIFE Claude Monet second wife ,Alice died in 1911 and his first son ,Jean. Jean had married Alice’s daughter Blanche, died in During World War 1, Monet started painting a series of Weeping Willow trees, during this time cataracts formed on Monet’s eyes. Monet had to have two operation .After the surgery he was able to see certain ultraviolet wavelengths of light that are normally excluded by the lens of the eye. Claude Monet died of lung cancer at the age of 86 on December,5 1926, he was buried in the Giverny church cemetery.
