2. Problems in Dubai
The problems in Dubai is that the ocean is eating away a lot of sand by the back wash of the waves in the beach. According to the data collected the ocean is eating away the sand of a rate of 50 meters in 2 years.
Because of that the houses that are near the coast are in Danger. The coast line is getting closer and closer every year so the water might go up to the houses which means that the people that lives in those houses would have to go to another house and the owner of the house would be loosing the house he bought.

3. How weathering and erosion are causing the problem
The waves are eroding the coast of Dubai by the back wash. When the back wash occurs the sand and the shingles goes down the beach.
The weathering is occurring when there is too much sun light and not a lot of water the plants die and it becomes more easier to pull the sand and shingle down the beach because when there is no plants nothing has hold of the sand or shingle.

5. The reason I chose vegetation
Vegetation can hold the sand and makes it strong which would make the erosion much slower .
Vegetation is very good to use in Dubai because there are a lot of tourists and the trees would make the beach look much more nice. On the other hand if you put sea walls or cement coast the beach would not look nice.
Vegetation is not very expensive compared to sea wall and cement coast because the cement and concrete costs a lot of money.
