2. A. CHICANO MOVEMENT
1. Caesar Chavez started the United Farm Workers association and began boycotting grapes. 2. Chavez led this movement based on MLK’s civil disobedience argument. 3. Dolores Huerta also promoted this movement.

3. B. FEMINIST MOVEMENT
National Organization for Women (NOW) fought for female equality.
Betty Friedan was the first president of the organization.
They pushed for an Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) but it did not pass.

4. C. NATIVE AMERICAN MOVEMENT
1. The American Indian Movement pushed for better treatment for Native Americans. 2. AIM used a more violent approach when they seized the city of Wounded Knee. 3. AIM failed to get any goals accomplished.

5. D. GAY RIGHTS MOVEMENT
1. The police raided Stonewall Inn in New York City, which sparked the Gay Liberation Front. 2. This was the start of a civil rights movement for the gay population.

6. E. Disabled Americans Movement
Disabled Americans, especially Vietnam War Veterans, began protesting for public accommodations for people who have physical disabilities.
The movement began by protesting public transportation, since there was no way a person in a wheelchair could get on a bus.
