Ensure Meet Graduation Requirements
Subject Requirement English One credit is required in each of the following: English I, II, III, and IV. ESL courses satisfy the graduation requirement for English. Social Science One credit is required in both World Studies and U.S. History along with one credit in any other Social Science course. Science One credit is required in Biology along with two credits from any of the following options: Chemistry; Earth/Space Science; Environmental Science; and Physics. Mathematics One credit is required in Algebra, Geometry, and Advanced Algebra/ Trigonometry. Advanced mathematics courses are substituted for Algebra and/or Geometry if successfully completed prior to entering high school.

Ensure Meet Graduation Requirements
Subject Requirement World Language Two years of the same world language are required. This requirement cannot be met by earning one credit in two different world languages Fine Arts Two credits are required. This requirement can be met by earning two credits in the same category, or one credit in any two of the following four categories: Music; Dance; Theatre/Drama; and Visual Art/Drafting. Physical Education Two credits in PE are required with Health and Driver’s Education as mandated components. ROTC may satisfy the PE requirement. ALL high school students are required to be enrolled in daily physical education or have an authorized individual exception on-file Electives Most courses in the catalog will meet the Elective requirement. Electives should be chosen with student’s future goals in mind

Colleges Consider Grades Earned This does not mean take only classes in which you earn the “Easy A” Colleges Consider Rigor of Coursework This does not mean all classes have to be IB or AP The appropriate Senior Course load is rigorous and challenging, but not overwhelming

Prepare for standardized testing
SAT at LPHS April 5, 2017 If choose to retake, register at May 6 test (register by April 7) OR June 3 test (register by May 9) $45 or $57 (with essay) Fee waivers available from counselor (if you qualify) Free personalized test prep at SAT Subject Testing ( If choose to take, register at $26 registration fee plus $20 - $26 per test (may take up to 3 per test date)

ACT If choose to take, register at April 8 test (register by March 3) OR June 10 test (register by May 5) $42.50 or $58.50 (with essay) Fee waivers available from counselor (if you qualify) Free test prep available on Naviance
