2 Future tense A future tense Describes an act of will happen or will be done at the time to come. This form typically use will or shall. formerly the norms of English grammar is required the use of "shall" for the subject line I and we, “will” used to you, they, he, she and it. However, in modern English, besides using shall/will I and we could also use the will promise to say or determine who will come S + shall+ verb1 +…………….. Examples: We shall see a film to night I will see a VCD to night Notes: shall be used for I and we, the occurrence of an event in the future. Examples: We shall hear the noise of cars on the street. I shall die one day.

3 I will take an examination tomorrow.
This is the form of the future tense of ”will take, will go, will stay, will be”, etc. Examples: I will take an examination tomorrow. They will go to Papua next Sunday. 4 Negative interrogative
Verbal Sentence used to express something that will happen, is done at the time will come. positive Structure: S + shall/will + verb1 + O Examples: I will come to your party We shall go to the zoo next week negative S + shall/ will+ not+ verb1 + O I shall not go to Bandung with you The student will not study hard Interrogative Shall/ will + S + verb1 + O Will you speak English? Shall we write exercise? Negative interrogative Shall/will + not + S + verb1 + O Will not she play foot ball? Shall not I bring bananas?

5 Going to replace the will/shall with to be going to if the deed will do it is still a plan. S + going to+ verb1 + …………………… Examples: I am going to visit her tomorrow. I feel I am going to be better.

6 The Future continuous/ progressive tense
The Future continuous/ progressive tense. The future continuous/ progressive tense is a verb form that is used to express. An activity that will be in progress at a time in the future. This is the form of the future continuous/ progressive tense of “will be arriving, will be shining, will be coming”, etc. Structure: Subject +will be + ing+ ………………….. Examples: I will be coming tomorrow The guests will be arriving at this time tomorrow.
