1. Only abstinence is the only 100% effective way not to get pregnant…not having sex.
2. All methods of birth control can fail…if you have sex, you must be prepared to have a baby.

2. 3. Some methods of birth control:
 a) Sterilization- cut or removes vas deferens, fallopian tube
b) Pill / implant / shots - keeps the egg from leaving the ovaries
c) IUD (intrauterine device) - stops the egg from growing
d) Condom - sperm are kept in the condom and can’t get to the egg

3. e) Diaphragm - fits over the women’s cervix…sperm can’t reach the egg
f) Spermicide - cover the women’s cervix and kill sperm
g) NFP (natural family planning) Also called the Rhythm Method: not having sex when the woman is most likely to get pregnant
