2860 unused cables (120km) to be removed
10 weeks (3 weeks in the machine) in 2 shifts needed;
5 teams of 2 persons per shift;
Installation of 372 (25 km) new & removal of 484 (12km) cables
+ 3.5 weeks in 2 shifts needed;
2 teams of 5 persons per shift.
This will be possible if no co-activity (slide 5) and full electrical lockout* (slide 6 ).

5. PS BOOSTER - Copper de-cabling/cabling - co-activity
No co-activity (work in the same area at the same time) is required for the entire duration of the de-cabling campaign.
Other EL activity: Renovation of ERD switchboards – to be done before EYETS16-17:
Advantage - Removal of all old electrical distribution materials (cables, final power supplies) from false floor during the de-cabling campaign.
Start of EYETS cut power to all ERD switchboards in the PSB (Bldg. 361).
Final power supplies available from October
Removal of ERD 16, 17 &18 all associated cabling from BCER.

31th Aug. TS3 New Supports & Switchboards
Proton-Ion run from 14th Nov. until 12th Dec. Cabling busbars to switchboards.
Power on date for new infrastructure 20th March 2017.

Electrical risk: Some cables are identified only on one end, the second end could be still connected. In PSB the cable trays are mixed.
Special procedure under development.
CTP with ‘habitation electrique’ H2/B2 needed.
Workers with ‘habitation electrique’ H1/B1 needed.
‘Chargés de Consignation’ for each group needed.

9. PS BOOSTER - Optical Fibres
Installation BWS: 2 cables 6 fibres entre BAT41 et 4L1.
Installation Radiation Monitoring: boucle fibre et environ 6 m de chemin de câble.
Les installations seront réalisées en même temps. Mise en place d’un tube équipé de 7 mini-tubes. Une dérivation sur la boucle permettra le raccordement en 4L1 (Installation, soufflage et raccordements: 3 jours).
