Welcome to class! Miraculously, it’s Monday, Sept. 11th!
Materials: Pencil, sheet of loose leaf paper Handouts: Book Spine Poetry Station handouts Walk-in Work: Introduce yourself to your table group. Learn everyone’s name. Then tell them what you like to read about.

Book Spine Poetry Station
At this station, you will look through the books in the library with your group! Choose some books and use the titles to make Book Spine Poetry! MAKE SURE THAT YOU WRITE THE TITLE OF THE BOOK BIN ON A POST IT NOTE, SO THE BOOK CAN BE PUT BACK RIGHT WHERE IT WAS!!

Write me a… Station! You may pick one of these things to write:
At this station, you will use a piece (or several pieces) of loose leaf paper. Write your name at the top of the page! You may pick one of these things to write: Write a scene from your summer! Use as much descriptive language as possible; make us feel like we’re there!! If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? Use descriptive language!! Who is a person in your life who inspires you? What do they do? Why do they inspire you?

Station Rotation! Each table group will get to do both the stations!
At your station, work quietly and respectfully. If you are talking, you are talking in a whisper!
