Effective May 30, companies will be fined up to $10,000 for late delivery of product, inaccuracies in product and/or other infractions. This move comes on the heels of similar efforts by Walmart and Amazon – both of them key competitors of Target. Earlier, Target had announced plans to invest $5 billion-plus in its supply chain and technology systems and infrastructure from More recently, Target alluded to the change last month during its vendor summit” April Sources close to H&TT said the company gave a “general and preliminary” warning about fines for tardy and faulty deliveries in an effort to support stronger in-stocks and replenishment.
