He didn’t have great faith; however, according to Jesus, he at least had a little faith (14:31)
The key to look at is that at least Peter got OUT of the boat (verses 28 and 29); ie he came out of his COMFORT ZONE
Like many of us though, once he stepped out, he got distracted (verse 30)
Once he started to lose focus, he started to sink; just like we do spiritually when we start trusting our OWN instincts and what we’re used to over what God’s Word says
Jesus spoke the Word—COME. HIS expectation was for Peter to join Him in the boat. Peter started out with the same expectation, but again, he lost focus

11. WANTED 2 MORE FAITH VOLUNTEERS
The volunteers will be led out of the room and blind folded. The first will be led back into the room blind folded and be required to go through an obstacle course under the guidance of ONE VOICE
When the first volunteer has completed the course, the 2nd Volunteer will be led in. The obstacle course will be set up differently. This time, EVERYONE in the class will try and guide the volunteer. However, one half of the group will be calling our correct directions, the other will be calling out wrong directions.
This is to demonstrate how we as Christians allow some many people/things to influence our decisions that we can barely hear the voice of God; thus we eventually find ourselves confused, lost, and sometimes we even get hurt
