3 Pmail Sending Delay Pmail has a sending delay of ~5 minutes.
The delay allows a regret period, during which, a Pmail that is sent, can be canceled. ALL Pmails sent with the the new Pmail have this delay.

4 Schedule a Pmail You can schedule a Pmail to be sent up to a week later Clicking on the “Schedule Delivery” button opens the “Send Message Later” dialog box

5 Schedule a Pmail Select the radio button next to the time you want to send your Pmail. One week in advance can be selected. Once selected, you can continue to compose and send your Pmail normally.

6 Send a Pmail “now” If you have a Pmail that is scheduled to be sent in the future, you can send it “now” by clicking the blue arrow “Send Now” button on the Pending page. What is “now”? When the “Send Now” button is clicked, the Pmail’s send time is changed from the scheduled time to the current time. The script that actual sends the s runs every five minutes and adds the regret period to the send time. “Now” is really ~5 minutes from the instant you click the “Send Now” button.

7 Cancel a Pmail A sender can cancel a Pmail that they’ve already sent.
The Pmail must still be in the sending delay regret time period (~5 minutes) Simply go to the Pending page and click the red “x” Delete button. The Campaign is deleted and not sent

8 Tracking Pmails You can track sent Pmails by going to the Tracking page Many statistics are available Click the Subject of a campaign to view details about the campaign

9 Tracking Pmails Detailed information about the campaign, its recipients as well as resending options are available

10 Why do we have Opt-Out Pmail Opt-Out – Why
Allow users to stop receiving Pmails if they choose Anti-spam regulations (CAN-SPAM act of 2003) require an Opt-Out on all unsolicited s (there is some leeway with this) Tell recipients how to opt out of receiving future from you. Honor opt-out requests promptly. Monitor what others are doing on your behalf.

11 Current Functionality
Pmails with an Opt-Out link look like this: When the recipient clicks on the “Unsubscribe” link they are taken to this page:

12 Current Functionality
The user must select the checkbox next to “All communication from DACdb” (currently the only choice) If the recipient clicks “No” Taken to a page that notes that no changes have been made If the recipient clicks “Yes” The Opt-Out setting in their member profile is set to “Yes” The user will not receive any other Pmails from DACdb If the user does not check the checkbox for “All communication from DACdb” and clicks “Yes” Taken to a page that notes that no selections were made

13 Current Functionality
When a Pmail recipent opts out of Pmail communication, a log record is created in their membership profile

14 Pmail Enable/Disable The Sender can choose to include the Opt-Out link in their Pmail on a Pmail-by-Pmail basis:

15 District Enable/Disable
The District can set the default for the “Include Opt-Out” checkbox in the NEW Pmail Default is “Checked” (Enabled)

16 Future Functionality DACdb will be making Opt-Out choices more granular, allowing the user the ability to selectively opt out of certain types of Pmails – rather than all Pmails Future Opt-Out areas: Club Opt-out from Pmails Exists – not advertised Club Club Club Newsletters File Upload Notifications ListServer s District / Zone District s District Bulletins District Event Announcements
