Message of the Cartoon The simple message is that the League of Nations had been weak since the very beginning This sign shows that Woodrow Wilson (The President) had the idea of the league and was the one that wanted it.

Message of the Cartoon The fact that the USA is sitting on the side next to the USA “Keystone” that the bridge needs to stay strong, shows clearly that the USA are not getting involved, and that the bridge (the League) needs the USA and Wilson to work.

Message of the Cartoon The keystone is important because without it, there is only a small and frail piece of metal which is bound to break sooner or later and the other countries in the league will fall. They will Fall (Plummet)
