2 Response to Quote In your notebooks, in NO LESS than a HALF PAGE, respond to ONE of the quotes below. A response can be your reaction to it, how it pertains to your life, what you think about when you read it, etc. Please write the quote at the top, so that I know which one you’re responding to. “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them”—JFK “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of others.”—Cicero Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”—Melody Beattie “We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.”—Thornton Wilder

3 I am Grateful For… Consider these questions:
What are you thankful for? What people, places, or things, do you appreciate and value most? What helps to make your life what it is today? In your notebooks, generate a bulleted list that finishes this sentence: I am grateful for… Continue writing until I tell you to stop. There is no maximum limit to how many things you can write, but I don’t want anything LESS THAN TEN.

4 Tally Them Up Add up your list and write the total at the end
Go back over your list and place an “Y” by all the things you CAN live without if you had to, and place a “N” by all the things you CAN’T live without.

5 Illustrating Your Gratitude
Using the list that you just generated, you will create an illustration of some kind to depict all the things, people, places for which you are grateful. Your creation can be similar to the ones below or it could be something completely different.
