Math With Mrs. Marano Homework and Grading:
Homework will be assigned daily. It is a way to practice the skills required for mastery and to prepare for assessments. It is understood that students will struggle at times completing homework. Homework is checked for completion and effort, not accuracy. Homework and other graded class work will count for 10% of each marking period grade and will appear in the grade book as Formative Assessments. Tests, quizzes and other assessments will be weighted as 90% of each marking period grade and will appear in the grade book as Summative Assessments. Student's 4 marking period grades (80%) plus the 5th marking period, which is the midterm, final and 2 core assessments (20%) will determine their final grade for the year.
