What is a simple sentence?
A sentence that has one independent clause Independent Clause A group of words that (1) Makes a complete statement (2) Has a subject and a predicate Subject and Predicate Subject-the person/place/thing/quality or idea (noun) that the sentence is about. Predicate shows the state of being or action (verb) of the subject of the sentence. What is a simple sentence?
