1 KCLSU Captains and Fixture Secretary Training 2017/18

2 BUCS Individual Entries
Details of all the requirements for each competition will be available on the BUCS website. They should be in the ‘pre- event information’ document. Our policy allows us to cover up to £25 for transport costs per competitor and £50 for accommodation (an additional £25 per person may be requested if required for a 2nd night of accommodation). BUCS are looking to produce a document similar to this one which will make the process of submitting details to the SU a lot easier than it is currently

3 Non-BUCS Competition Entries
Funding available – allocated on a case by case basis. Small budget in comparison to BUCS competitions Pre event info lists all the details that are required for each competitor For some non-BUCS competitions KCLSU might pay for the entry fees only, for some we might be able to help with accommodation costs instead

4 BUCS Rearrangements This form should be used when requesting all BUCS fixture rearrangements and sent to We will always try to accommodate changes for home fixtures wherever possible but the opposition must still agree to these changes For away fixtures, not all rearrangements will be possible but it’s often easier to rearrange if we have plenty of notice

5 Transport KCLSU will fund all BUCS transport outside of the M25 boundary. This includes travel by public transport to grounds such as Shenley (UCL) where the quickest route involves leaving this boundary and then re-entering. Any receipts for reimbursements of BUCS transport costs outside of the M25 should be sent to within 1 month of the fixture date. The booking of all transport to BUCS and LUSL fixtures is the responsibility of the captain/fixture secretary

6 Transport Bookings KCLSU has accounts with 2 separate coach companies who bookings can be made with by captains and fixture secretaries Select Coach Hire – or   Coach Hire – (office hours - preferred) or (out of office hours) We recommend that you also look at using public transport where possible and also look at sharing transport with other teams who are travelling to the same university – even if it means a couple of drop offs

7 Officials The booking of officials is the responsibility of the home captain/fixture secretary for all BUCS fixtures. Different tiers of BUCS competition will have different officials requirements and they can all be found in appendix 2 of the BUCS rules and regulations.

8 BUCS Rules and Regulations
BUCS rules and regulations are worth making sure that you are up to date with. Several regulations have been changed this summer Key Regulations for Captains: REG 6 – Team Selection/Eligibility REG 7 – Team Sheets REG 12 – Fixture Admin and Forfeitures (Walkovers) REG 16 – Disputes and Appeals Sport specific regulation changes and arrival time regulation

9 LUSL Rules and Regulations
General LUSL rules and regulations and sport specific ones can be found on the BUCS website LUSL general rules and regulations LUSL sport specific rules and regulations LUSL competitions also have their own officials guide There are different regulations for each tier of competition

10 Open Play Bookings for any LUSL fixtures and friendlies at Honor Oak Park, The Griffin or Berrylands should be made via Get to know the grounds staff, they’ll try to help you out when they can All BUCS fixture bookings and regular training slots are already booked on there

11 BUCS Team Sheets Every fixture should have 2 copies of the team sheets (one for each team) Both need to be completed fully before the start and then should be returned to the SU as soon as possible after the match Sports where scoresheets already have player names listed on them can be used instead of BUCS team sheets

12 Confirmation e-mails and kit colours
Sent out every Thursday ahead of the following Wednesday’s fixtures Any issues with fixture times etc. should be sent to by 10am on Monday at the latest (ideally by Friday) To avoid kit clashes, we need to let oppositions know our colours. Generally, KCL teams play in Red and GKT teams in Blue/Yellow. If this isn’t the case for you, please with your kit colour by 12pm on 5th October Any missing details will be sent out on the Friday. Kit clashes mean home team has to change/wear bibs etc. Check fixtures against BUCS website

13 Playing Under Protest These forms need to be completed fully if a regulation has been breached at a BUCS fixture and you would like to appeal the result. The full process for playing under protest can be found in REG 12.11
