Technology Fourth graders will receive Thinkpads this year to use in the classroom. Please be sure your child has his/her own pair of headphones or earbuds in plastic baggie labeled with name. Mrs. Breivogel will sell earbuds for $1 in gym tonight, and before school each morning.

Snack Policy Students will have a brief(9:05) daily snack after specials rotation. Each student is responsible for bringing his/her own snack, and a bottle of water if desired. Healthy snacks should be prepackaged or in a Ziploc bag, small in size, and quickly eaten.

School Policies Absences- Please call attendance line to let Mrs. Luker know your child is ill or at doctor appointment. Students get 1 day for each day absent to make up work. Homework is not given ahead of time. Dr. Appointments- Please try to schedule appointments around core subjects. The first and last period of each day works best! Vacations- Please try to coordinate dates with our holidays, or at least not during testing times. Birthdays- We celebrate school wide with name shared on morning announcements. (Treats not allowed) Dismissal- Students will need to have one way to get home, such as bus, day care, or parent pick up. Should plans change, then a note needs to be brought to school with your child, not an . Money- All money for field trips, lunch accounts, daycare, etc…needs to be labeled in a baggie or envelope with child’s name and teacher’s name.

Grading Scale & RDS 100 - 94% A 93 – 84% B 83 – 74% C 73 – 64% D
63% or below F Grades are entered into the computer system within 2-3 days. Graded work is your child’s receipt. We highly suggest keeping graded work in a box at home until the grading period is over. Should you have questions about an assignment/grade, please feel free to contact teacher right away. Extra credit is given periodically, so be sure to take part when it is offered. Late work is accepted, but points will be taken off. We also take 1 point off for papers without names. Please do not wait until the last week of grading period to inquire about late/missing work.

Weekly Newsletters posted on Mondays- Class Facebook Page “Mrs. Garland’s Tiger Tribune” – class happenings, pictures, & reminders Class Facebook Page-Mr. Math’s Science and Math Class - s are a great way to communicate when you have a quick question or information to share with your child’s teacher. But please note that they aren’t always checked during the day due to our schedule. If you have a dismissal change, please call the office to make them aware as well. Should you have a concern to share, it may be best to just call and leave a message.

School Fees Related Arts Fee : $10 Can be paid in cash or check made payable to Scott School. Textbook Fee: Fee is paid through Old National Bank. An invoice will be sent home at a later date. Agenda Book: $4 Can be paid in cash or check made payable to Scott School. Cafeteria : Lunch- $1.75 / Breakfast- $1.25 Your child will get a pin number. Please include this number on all checks. Tuesday Treats: $12 Can be paid in cash or check made payable to Scott PTA. *** All money sent to school needs to be put in an envelope or baggie with student’s name marked on it and stating purpose. ***

Other Information… Scott Website contains a variety of information and resources. Bus Transportation BUS. See Scott Website under Parent Tab to find out student bus number. Simply input address and number, plus arrival times are listed. Please have this checked before school begins. Volunteer Application must be filled out on line annually. It is a very simple process. See Parent Tab to fill out form. If you have questions, Karen Osborn. Please fill out ASAP so you may attend field trips, class parties, and help in class. Grandparents must do this as well.
