How Uzziah Becomes King
His Father Was King Before Him – Amaziah “And he did right in the sight of the Lord, yet not with a whole heart” (2 Chron 25:2). His Father Was Just Like His Father – Joash He Was Good and Righteous, But The Kingdom Went to His Head. He Went to War Against Israel and Lost Much of the Gold in the Temple. He Was Murdered by Judah…Just Like His Father.

2 Chron 26:4-5 “And he did right in the sight of the Lord according to all that his father Amaziah had done.” “And he continued to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding through the vision of God; and as long as he sought the Lord, God prospered him.”

Uzziah Prospers He Took Portions of Philistia and Arabia (7)
He Captured Ammon Who Paid Him Tribute (8) His Fame Extended to the Borders of Egypt (8) He Built Towers in Jerusalem and Made Engines of War On Top of Them (9-10, 15). He Had a Great Army That Was Well Supplied (11-14). He Had Much Livestock, Vineyards, and Fertile Fields (10). MANY SEE HIM AS A “SOLOMON-TYPE” OF KING.
