3. 3D CAD Model All features should be fully dimensioned. Why?
To ensure that all elements of the model are the correct size
All features should be fully constrained
To ensure that no element of the model is moved by mistake, that edges are fixed at the correct angle, etc.

4. 2D Orthographic Drawing
The 2D orthographic drawings should be correctly laid out and contain sufficient information to allow the machinist to make and check that the part conforms to the specification required.
Eg. All features are dimensioned and tolerances are in place.
