2 EXAMPLE QUESTIONS Where are you from?

3 BAD ANSWERS Examiner: What are your interest and leisure activities?

4 A good answer Q: How important do you think it is to learn another language? A: Oh, from my point of view, it’s absolutely essential. We live in an international community nowadays and we can communicate with people one the other side of the world in a matter of minutes. But, in my opinion, learning another language isn’t useful or even fascinating- I personally feel that it’s also a mark of respect fro the people you’re communicating with. VO THI KIM ANH, M.A.

2. Avoid short “yes”, “no” answer to closed questions. Try to expand your answer. Example: Q: Do you have any plans for a holiday this year? A: Yes.
