Forest Service Analysis for Impacts to Wild and Scenic Merced River Alternatives have been dropped from further consideration Draft Environmental Document

Limestone Salamander Legislation AB 1973
Signed into Law on July 13, 2012 Allows the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to issue a 2081 (Incidental Take Permit) for the Limestone Salamander. Sunsets on January 1, 2016 which requires us to begin Construction by this date.

Forest Service Wild and Scenic River assessment
All Bridge Alternatives would have Temporary and Long Term Impacts to Wild and Scenic River Tunnel (T-3) and Rockshed (R) Alternatives would not have Long Term Impacts to Wild and Scenic River Temporary Bridge permit expires in 2018

Alternatives Removed from Consideration
Alternatives were eliminated because of: Adverse Long Term impact to the Wild and Scenic River Adverse Impacts to 4(f) Resources (Incline Road Trail & Recreational Uses of the Merced River). Consensus for this approach was received from all participating Federal, State and Local agencies
