Definition of a Firearm, The Gun Control Act of 1968, 18 U.S.C 921 (a)(3):            (A) Any weapon (including a starter gun) which will or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive; or (B), the frame or receiver of any such weapon; or (C), any firearm muffler or firearm silencer; or (D), any destructive device.             Such term does not include an antique firearm, as defined in Section 921 (a)(16), e.g., an antique ignition system firearm (e.g., matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, etc.); or a firearm made in or before1898, etc.

5 Prohibited in Georgia Sawed-off shotgun or rifle; machine gun; dangerous weapon ("rocket launcher," "bazooka" or "recoilless rifle," "mortar," "hand grenade") or silencer

6 Georgia “guns everywhere bill”
As of July 1, 2014 licensed gun owners in Georgia may carry a gun into bars, schools, churches and some government buildings. Licensed open carry Concealed carry permit
