Wire Soldering 101 What is soldering?
What is soldering? This is one of the student’s favorite parts, it can also be on the of most dangerous exercise. Make sure your students are aware of the common dangers and make sure they take caution. Always wear safety goggles and never sauder over your legs. The purpose of Soldering is to heat two wires to close a circuit.

Steps to make a soldered bracelet:
Soldering Fun! Steps to make a soldered bracelet: 1. Strip about ¾ inch of wire off each end of the wire 2. Cut a wide piece of heat-shrink about 2 inches long 3. Place the heat-shrink around the wires (Important to do this before you soldier!) 4. Twist wires together 5. Clean tip of hot soldiering iron with a damp sponge & hot iron 6. Touch iron to wires, and let heat up 7. Touch soldier to wire!

Waterproofing Fun! Steps to make a soldiered bracelet waterproof: 8. Heat up your hot glue gun 9. Hot glue soldiered area of wire 10. Let glue dry 11. Pull heat shrink over soldiered/glued area 12. Heat the heat shrink with a heat gun 13. Celebrate with style!
