Language Arts
We are continuing to work on our Unit 6 Focus Question this week…How do plants grow and change? We will wrap up our unit next week, but we did complete our Quarterly Benchmark assessment on Friday. We will work on some of the stories for week 4 next week to wrap up our unit overall and then we will begin Unit 7…Actions and Words.
WOW!!!!! This week we have been working on writing stories with a Beginning, Middle, and End! Wait until you see the amazing writing each kiddo has done!! We are soooooo proud of our kindergarten kiddos
DONATIONS PLEASE:
Kratzer Kindergarten would like to start collecting donations for the Kratzer Kountry Fair Baskets. Kindergarten will be putting together a BREAKFAST BASKET! Items that could be donated for it could be pancake mix, gift cards to Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, any diner, biscuit mix, cookbooks, coffee, jelly, or any other items that remind you about breakfast are greatly appreciated! A letter will be coming home with more specific details to follow! 
EARTH DAY is approaching quickly and we are in need of a few empty paper towel rolls for a special project. If you have any at home…please send them in.
Math
This week we have worked on Geometry with solid shapes, 3 Dimensional shapes. We also learned how to tell the difference between 3 D shapes and plane flat shapes, 2 Dimensional shapes. Please continue to work on how to identify our 3 Dimensional shapes: a Sphere, Cylinder, Cube, and a Cone. Ask them to sing the wrap song for you too! Kindergarten’s“SHAPETACULAR!”
End of the Marking Period
We are completing all of our end of the marking period assessments this week and we will be sending home many of these with your kiddo when report cards and folders go home on April 22nd.
Sorry…homework wasn’t sent home this week, but it will go home next week…along with new sight word charts.  Thanks so much for your understanding with this!!!
