Platform for Target Spectrometer using linear montion drive Rexroth
Workshop – September 2011 Platform for Target Spectrometer using linear montion drive Rexroth Cracow University of Technology Mechnical Design Group Edward Lisowski
2
The platform for Target Spectometer
3
The interface between platform and yoke

Data of a single I-beam HEB 800 Mass 260 kg/m,EN 10034;
Material stal S355 EN Re=355MPa
7
LM Guide with extremely heavy load capacity JUP –THK (The previous solutions)
8
LM-system Rexroth (Germany) New solution for the platform
Max load capacity 130 tones per one block 4x130=520 tones
9
New model of the platform
Rails Footprints Door supports
10
Rear view of the platform – rear view
The pads on the floor The Carriage The hydraulic Jack The view in the cross section along the axis Z The space for hydraulic actuators
11
Main components of the frame to assembly
The main beam The side beam The screw node
12
Support place - idea
13
Support place – real solution
14
Support place – cross section
Long-time staying Lifting Moving
15
Vertical ball bearing on the carriage
Support ring Ball bearing Frame of the carriage
16
Carriage, hydraulic jack and pads at the support point
Hydraulic jack for vertical lifting The precision pads fastened to draft pads The draft pads fastened to floor
17
Technology of assembly
Fasten rails with carriages to the floor very precisely. Fasten draft pads (plates for hydraulic jack and frame) to the floor. Put main frame on the frame. Regulate the height and flatness of the platform.
18
Rail and jack gauges
19
Some details of installation
Access windows for carriage and hydraulic jack under platform
20
Installation of the rail on the floor
Large plate distributes load on the floor Small plates fix the rail to the main plate
21
Model FEM
22
Stress - von Mises
23
Displacement in the Y direction
24
Testing model in Lab 1. The friction factor is
very small, less than 0,005 2. No problem with flatness 3. Repositiong is very precise, less than 0.1 mm.
25
Operation of device Before first usage adjust the height of the platform using precise pads and hydraulic jack. For the transport of the magnet from in-beam to park position lift the platform a few millimetres and put pads between carriage and frame. Fasten the horizontal hydraulic actuators Lower down hydraulic jacks Start slowly moving using hydraulic actuators to the park position.
26
Resume Very big moment of inertia single I_BEAM 3,49E9 mm4
Not rigid joints between floor and frame Secure level of risk about stress above 3 Magnet can stay long time on the carriage; or directly on pads (much better) Very small speed of the transport, no vibrations Very precise positioning and repositioning The main element of the frame is I_BEAM HEB800 (it is standard in industry) Total mas of the platform about 16 tones.
