Legislative Branch Includes Congress which is a Bicameral Legislature that includes the Senate (Upper House) & the House of Representatives (Lower House). Congress-people are state representatives. The U.S. Capitol Building Washington, D.C.

Senators serve a term of six years, which are unlimited.

How YOU can be a Congress-person!
In order to be a senator you must: Be at least 30 years-old. Be a United States citizen. Be a resident of your state for at least 9 years. In order to be a representative you must: Be at least 25 years-old Be a resident of your state for at least 7 years. Menu

Judicial Review The responsibility of the Supreme Court is to interpret the laws and/or determine the constitutionality of laws.

Supreme Court Justices
Supreme Court justices are appointed by the President. Supreme Court justices are appointed for a life term, but in some cases retire.
