14 18 And all those who heard it marvelled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:18-19

15 KEPT to preserve (a thing from perishing or being lost) to keep within one's self, keep in mind (a thing, lest it be forgotten)

16 to throw together, to bring together to converse
PONDERED to throw together, to bring together to converse to bring together in one's mind, confer with one's self We talk to ourselves at the rate of words a minute, or nearly 50,000 thoughts per day.

20 And [the serpent] said to the woman, “Has God indeed said,
‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” Genesis 3:1

22 You have left your first love.
3You have persevered and have endured hardships for My name, and have not grown weary. 4 Yet I hold this against you: You have left your first love.

23 5Remember the height from which you have fallen
5Remember the height from which you have fallen. Repent and do the things you did at first. Revelation 2:3-5

24

25 14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh

26 NOTE: When God considers the rainbow,
16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” NOTE: When God considers the rainbow, He sees a full circle. From His perspective, the symbol is complete.

27 17 And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.” Genesis 9:14-17

28 God looks at the sign and remembers that He will not do to creation that which it justly deserves. Of course this is anthropomorphism. God does not need reminding of His promise since He is omniscient, knowing and remembering the end from the beginning.

29 But it is written as an assurance and comfort to us that God remembers His covenant with us and will keep His word. Interestingly the Hebrew word for rainbow is the same word they used for a bow of war.

30 Apparently God takes the sign of the weapon for judgment to men and placed it in the sky promising that He would never again flood the world to destroy all life, so the sign of war, instead becomes a symbol of God's mercy toward us. J. Hendry

34 I could save the lives of many people.
19 But Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. Genesis 50

35

36 to Pharaoh and to all Egypt:
17 “If you should say in your heart, ‘These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?’— 18 you shall not be afraid of them, but you shall remember well what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt: Deuteronomy 7

37 Remembrance a memento, abstractly recollection (rarely if ever); by implication, commemoration:—memorial, memory, remembrance, scent.

38 Faith (Habakkuk 2:4) (the just shall live by…) Speaks to action firmness, fidelity, steadfastness, steadiness

39

40 Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach, when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them…” Ecclesiastes 12:1

41

42 25 “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins. 26 Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted. Isaiah 43:25

43 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Martin Luther October 31, 1517

44

45 do this in remembrance of Me.”
23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

46 25 In the same manner He also took
the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

47 27 Therefore whoever eats this bread
or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. .

48 29 For he who eats and drinks
in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

49 What Next? In remembrance of me

50

51 What Next? The love of the Lord Jesus draw you to Himself; the power of the Lord Jesus strengthen you in His service; the joy of the Lord Jesus fill your hearts; and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always. Amen.
