5 Creating a Fundraising Plan
The plan helps identify all your needs. Start with your unit budget Plans create transparency. What do we use all that money for anyway? Plans show members how important any given fundraiser is to the overall goal What must you have to operate? Rent, utilities, etc… Identify your NEEDS Scholarships, cadet funds, etc.. Can live without but it’d be nice What would you LIKE to have? Evaluate for reasonableness Identify events/sources Add it all up

10 The Rules All fundraising must be approved by the Wing Commander in advance Submit a WIWGF 22. Prohibited fundraising activities (CAPR para 12 & 14) Fund raising promoters who charge a percentage of the proceeds Ex: Professional cold-caller fundraisers who take 85% of proceeds and let you keep 15% Sponsoring or Flying in Air Shows. Penny a Pound Airplane Rides Dropping Objects from Aircraft or Spot Landing Contests Personal Pecuniary Gain Sale of Alcoholic Beverages Gambling Wear of the Air Force uniform by Senior Members is prohibited when fundraising Cadets may wear Air Force style uniforms
